Gray Headed Prairie Coneflower

36-60"' tall x 24-36" wide. Native primarily to the Mid-Western US, this prairie wildflower is valued in the garden for its long season of mid-to-late summer bloom and its attractiveness to butterflies and seed eating birds. This deer resistant species makes an excellent cut flower and is easy-to-grow in a wide range of soil types. While slightly xeric, the plants should be irrigated in drier climates.
